In the 70’s pretty much any type of movie was being made, especially those with killer animals. The Corpse Grinders is one such film.

Written by Arch Hall Sr. (Eegah) and Joe Cranston (The Crawling Hand) along with director Ted V. Mikels viewers are treated to a film where the everyday household cat has a taste for human flesh.

While the title leads you to believe it’s a different type of movie, this does the job. Lotus Cat Food Company is looking for ways to save money on meat for their product, I’m not going to tell you where they get it, just that it leads to the cats wanting to rip human flesh.

With spotty acting and dated FX, The Corpse Grinders still offers genre fans a film to look back at a time when horror ruled the world leading to the domination of the 80’s.

This isn’t the worst killer animal film around (that’s still reserved for Night Of The Lepus). Pair this with the 1981 film Roar! and Food Of The Goods for an evening of animals turning the tables on humans!
