This week ECHG writer Adam Holtzapfel takes us back to 2008 for a look at I Sell The Dead.
Directed by Glen McQuaid and written by McQuaid along with Keti Stamo, I Sell The Dead has a dream cast, but that doesn’t save this film.
Clocking in at 85 minutes, this tale of a grave robber who you guessed it…sells the dead, feels like a marathon where no one wins.
While boasting a cast of Angus Scrimm, Ron Perlman, Dominic Monaghan, and Larry Fessenden and a good premise, it falls more into a dark comedy than horror realm.

Visually the film looks great, somewhat reminiscent of Hammer era flicks minus the nostalgia of having Lee or Cushing or countless others associated with the company. There’s a couple of good gore scenes, but nothing major.
I give this a D since it didn’t deliver. If you choose to watch this pair with something more humorous like The Stuff or Microwave Massacre.
