East Coast Horror Group Presents – 31 Days of October

Day 22 finally wrapped up The Haunting Of Hill House. I wanted to like it but fuck that was a chore. The show would have been great as a straight drama instead of drama disguised as horror with disjointed flashbacks, multiple views of the same flashback (we don’t need to keep seeing the one where the Theodora is discovered to be a lesbian, we get it),and an ending that shit the bed more than a newborn. Luckily it was followed up with the cult favorite Shock Waves. Shock Waves follows what happens when visitors to a remote island encounter Nazi zombies and a reclusive SS Commander that has been breeding them.

Day 23 is all about tragedy

Day 23 is all about Tragedy Girls. This 2017 film takes a tongue in cheek look at social media and adds a touch of Heathers to make for a fun film that flew under the radar.

Day 24 was the 80’s classic, Teen Wolf. While not really horror it’s a fun watch to cleanse the palette while keeping with the theme.

And to run through Day 25-30 the films were a mix of classic, indie, and childhood favorites. They were Monkey Shines, Burnt Offerings, Brainscan, Coven, Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, Lord Of Illusions, Frankenstein, Bride Of Frankenstein, Creature From The Black Lagoon, Martin, The Transfiguration, Masuvaises Tetes (Bad Heads), Bong Of The Living Dead, and Hocus Pocus.

Halloween was spent in Arlen, TX

Day 31 was a pair of classic King Of The Hill episodes. The first is Hilloween, a curfew is put in effect due to Junie Harper who complains it’s evil. It’s up to Hank and the boys to take the holiday back. Next is Pigmalion this episode is like a bizarre version of Motel Hell. Luanne is wooed by millionaire Trip Larsen who wants her to dress like the woman on the label of his sausage while he dresses like the pig. This turns into Motel Hell on crack.
