On this episode of Film Feast we’re taking a different approach, with it being wrestling weekend we figure we’d make The Real American to share for the marathon of events happening.
The grill used for The Real American Burgers was a Green Mountain Grill Daniel Boone Model.
The recipe for the burgers:
1lb ground beef
1 strip bacon (diced)
1/2 red onion
1/2 can diced mild green chiles
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1/2 tablespoon ground coffee
1 teaspoon ancho chili powder
Salt & Pepper to taste
Heat grill to 450-500 degrees. While grill is heating sautee bacon in a pan, once done let cool some and mix in with other ingredients forming 4 patties. Depending on thickness grill 5-11 minutes per side.
For the grilled potato wedges and asparagus a Char Griller Duo was used. The base recipe for the potatoes can be found in this book. For the asparagus coat in olive oil with salt & pepper and grill for 3 minutes.
