We here at OWC are excited to bring you this news regarding The Beyond Composer’s Cut.
Following Cadabra Records’ recent unveiling of The Beyond: Composer’s Cut – a recreation one of the most iconic horror scores ever, Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond – maestro Fabio Frizzi now brings the record to audiences across North America live. Beginning this evening in Memphis, the Frizzi 2 Fulci, The Beyond Composer’s Cut Tour will deliver a month of live events to fans across the continent. These special performances will feature The Beyond projected behind a full orchestra with Frizzi conducting the entire 2xLP score.
The Beyond: Composer’s Cut was released in mid-October as a deluxe 2xLP pressed on 160-gram colored vinyl. Cadabra is well-known for their high quality deluxe packaging, and The Beyond is one of the label’s most fantastic releases to date, housed in a deluxe heavy weight tip-on gatefold jacket, original artwork by Jeremy Hush based around the movie’s key character Schweick as well as a 4-panel foldout insert, an 11×11 insert, a huge 24×36 poster, as well as exclusive liner notes by Fabio Frizzi himself. Cadabra pressed a special tour variant of The Beyond: Composer’s Cut on natural white vinyl in an extremely limited pressing of 200 copies.
Additionally, the label has created three singles with alternative versions of three of the score’s movements specifically for the tour. Each of the three vinyl-only 7″ singles bear at least two tracks, presented in a one-time pressing of 1000 copies each. The first features three singles, including “Spiders Attack (Alternative Mix),” “Blood Foam,” and an unreleased/unnamed cut from the sessions. The second features “The Return Of Zweick (Alternative Mix),” and “Justice From The Past.” The third 7″ presents “John’s Disbelief (Alternative Mix)” and “Emily Appears To Liza.” As with the LP set, the new singles feature newly commissioned art by Jeremy Hush.
