This Friday, Days of the Dead finishes out their 2017 season in Chicago!
For those unfamiliar with DOTD, they are a convention celebrating all things from horror to wrestling spanning 5 cities (Atlanta, newly add Charlotte, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Chicago) a year.
Chicago is always the finish to the 2017 season bringing fans from all over to meet celebrities, watch films, panels, events, and more!
This year the line up boasts guests like Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, Reaper, Dead End), Fairuza Balk (The Craft, The Worst Witch, The Waterboy), Jen & Sylvia Soska (American Mary, Dead Hooker In A Trunk, Hellevator), and more genre favorites. Wrestling fan? They’ve got you covered with former WWF Tag Team Champions Demolition (Ax and Smash) and tag team royalty, The Rock N Roll Express (Ricky Morton &Robert Gibson). Are you a fan of metal?, If so you’re covered with two icons that need no introduction Dee Snider and Phil Anselmo.
Fan favorite Kane Hodder will be appearing this weekend!
For those wondering about movies, DOTD is home to the 48 Hour Independent Film Festival. Some of the films fans can expect to see on the line up are Space Babes From Outer Space, Night Of Something Strange, Devotion, World Of Death, a block from Etheria Film Festival, and more!
Panels, you say? Of course they have panels! Featuring 2 tracks of panels and events, the Black and Blue tracks have something for everyone.
The Black Track boasts panels hosted by Michael Exler and Drew Seidler of East Cost Horror Group involving celebrities like Sean Astin, the cast of Hellraiser, Jason Voorhees (Steve Dash & Kane Hodder) and more!
The Black Track is also home to the Hall of Fame ceremony (inductees include Doug Bradley, Angus Scrimm, and ECHG founders Michael Exler and Drew Seidler), Chaostume Contest, That Damn Tattoo Contest, FX Make Up Contest, Dark Harvest Party featuring live music from Evil Engine, and more!

The Blue Track wraps up it’s inaugural season in Chicago with discussions on The Haunted History Of Horror Hosts, The History Of Horror Comics, Horror Makeup On A Budget, Independent Filmmaker Panel, and more!
Events part of the Blue Track include the Terror Trade Swap Meet and a convention premiere screening of She Was So Pretty: Be Good For Goodness Sake with a couple special shorts screening prior, as well as cast and crew on hand.
